Hair Tutorial: Crazy/Beautiful Bun

Several of you asked how I got the messy bun I’m sporting in this post, so here’s a step by step tutorial.

You’ll need a ratting comb, a ponytail holder, bobby pins and a headband. I have an elastic braid and a necklace.

Add a little hairspray all over for texture. If your hair is kind of dirty or messy, this is a great hairstyle to make it last another day.

Pin your bangs, or the first layer of your hair, about a 1/2 inch deep. Tease the hair nice and high.

Pull it into a ponytail, but on the last loop, just pull it halfway through.

Now tease your bangs and mess up a bit with your fingers.

Put on a headband of any type. I bought this braid at Sephora for $8. See that loose hair in the back of the pony? I loosely pinned it with a bobby pin. Tighten the pony to give it a bigger pouf and make it nice and high.

If you have a sparkly necklace, place it so the longest part hangs toward the back of your head and pin it in place with bobby pins. I pulled out my bangs for this look to make it more sleek and show off the sparkle.
