Sweet, Sweet Hanging

Ok, so the title of this post is an I Love You, Man quote, but I love that film almost as much as The Hangover. We went to see The Hangover II today and couldn’t help being inspired!

The Arclight Hollywood offers so much more than movie popcorn and candy. There’s a bar. The perfect pairing.

I ordered a Singapore Sling in tribute to the film’s location. Nancy had a lemon drop and Jaime had the the classic hangover cure, a bloody mary.

The guys ordered Jagermeister, which gets the guys in trouble in the first film.

My review?

There’s no way it was going to compare to the first film, but it was hilarious. While I fell in love with Ed Helms and Bradley Cooper in the original, Zach Galifianakis and Ken Jeong are the true stars of the sequel. Paul Giamatti makes a great cameo, but this film relies more on gross out moments to make you laugh and the film has lots of familiar moments and a similar layout. Brace yourself for the slideshow. It was more shocking than surprising this time around. Sequels in general really have a hard time standing up to the original, except when you’re talking about Star Wars and The Godfather I guess.
